Tour campus.

Use this time to explore the campus. Familiarize yourself with the location of the different buildings and places where students use the most like the student union and school store.

Your goal is to learn the campus layout and where important buildings are located.

Visit with teachers and advisors for your major. On the campus, these people can help answer your questions.

Your goal is to learn more about the department for your major.

Visit library.

Possibly the most important place on campus. Make sure you know where all the resources are that will help you earn the grades you deserve.

Apply for jobs.

On campus jobs go quickly, so make sure you speak with advisors and other students to locate a good job to help with your finances.

Your goal is to identify and apply for a job.

Wrap Up

You’ve located your classrooms and toured the campus. Now it’s time to plan your semester.

After speaking with my advisor I was able to get a lot of my questions answered about great resources, international student tutors and, in general, expectations for my major.
