Now that you’ve gathered and assembled all the documents, arrange your green card application file in this order:
- Forms G-1145 checklist documents
- Form I-130 checklist documents
- Form I-485 checklist documents
- Form I-765 checklist documents, if applicable
- Form I-131 checklist documents, if applicable
Once done, drop them into an envelope and you have your packet ready to be shipped to the Chicago Lockbox Facility. Depending on your choice of carrier, you’ll need to send the packet to a different address.

Before sending your packet in, make sure the addresses stated above are still current. Although the likelihood of this changing is very slim, the last thing you want is to send your application to the wrong address.
Finally, make sure you get a tracking number for your packet, so you can track the delivery.
